Refund deadline is Monday, January 29th . Refund fee is $10.
Lap Swim: Swim for fitness. Grouped in lanes based on swimming technique. Must be able to swim several laps continuously. An aquatics staff member will be available for training techniques or stroke analysis.
Adult Learn to Swim: Five week course to learn the basics for aquatic safety and fun. Perfect for any adult with no swimming experience. An introduction to proper breathing and swimming techniques, floating and life safety skills. Bathing suit and towel are required.
Squash: Learn rules, basic strokes, strategy and safety. Participants are paired by skill level. This course is designed for beginner and intermediate players. Equipment (racquet, balls, eyewear) not provided.
Anti-Gravity Yoga: A 45-min yoga based workout using silk hammocks to progress, modify, enhance, and break down yoga poses and flows. This class focuses on using the functional equipment to improve flexibility, strength, and overall practice of yoga. This class is open to any fitness level.
Fencing: A class for the Sabre to learn the stance, movement, methods of attack and defense. The tactics of combat are practiced and applied. Equipment provided.
Fitness Instructor Training: A movement course designed for the advanced student to learn to become a group fitness instructor.

Kayaking (Beginner): Students will learn the basics of whitewater kayaking and river safety in pool and classroom sessions. Equipment provided, but students must know how to swim.
Scuba: Short course including classroom and pool training. Optional dive experiences offered for those seeking certification. Participants must be able to swim 200 yards and float for 10 minutes to register.
Self Defense and Self Defense for Women: Learn to use leverage, technique, and timing to DEFEND yourself. Learn to identify situations involving both strangers and acquaintances. Increase awareness for safety and Self Defense. The Women's course is geared specifically towards women, but is open to all.
Dodge Fitness Center membership is required for all course registration. To confirm your membership status, please contact the Membership Office 212-854-2546.
Payment must be provided at the time of registration.
Classes are NOT PRO-RATED or sold individually, unless otherwise noted. We do not allow make-ups for missed classes.
Registration will continue throughout the semester, space permitting.
Payment is by credit card, exact cash or check payable to Columbia University.
DFC members may register another DFC member for courses by presenting the other member's valid membership I.D.
Members may only attend a class if they have officially registered and paid for the entire session, with the exception of during free trial periods. Attendance may be taken at the start of each class.
Participants must bring their CU or DFC ID card to class in order to gain entrance to classes.
"Trying" a class for free or watching a class from inside the room is not permitted. If you'd like to try a class, you must first purchase the class, unless otherwise noted.
You may not be admitted if the room has already reached capacity
All classes have a 10 minute late policy.
Refund deadline is Monday, January 29th. Refunds will NOT be issued after the refund deadline. No refunds on half price initiatives.
You may not receive a group fitness refund due to cancellation of gym membership or graduation if the refund deadline has passed.
There is a $10 fee for all refunds and drops.
Please come dressed appropriately. Most classes require athletic shoes or specialized clothing (i.e. swimsuit).
The instructor reserves the right to turn you away from class if you are not properly dressed to participate.
