Membership and locker sales and renewals are available for sale!  

Purchasing new membership and locker service (specific information for each membership is at the bottom of this page):

  • New memberships are available for purchase on our web portal* or in person at the Membership Office
    • *Note: New online membership purchases are only available for active Faculty, Staff, and Students
  • New locker service must be purchased in person at the Membership Office

Membership Pricing (Fall 2025 - Summer 2026)

Student

-Not all students have Dodge Fitness Center fee(s) included in their student fees.

-Check your term bill in SSOL to determine your membership status.

  • If you pay the "Student Life Fee”, "University Facility Fee" or "University Services & Support Fee", your membership will be included*
  • If you do NOT pay the fee(s) listed above, see the "Membership Pricing Chart" for the rate(s)

 

-SUMMER ACCESS

  • If not registered for classes during the summer term, membership to Dodge Fitness Center will have to be purchased online or in person at the Membership Office.

 

-GSAS students can check their website for additional information


Daily Towel and Locker Service 

  • Not included in the basic student membership.
  • $44 per semester

To purchase your membership online:

  • Visit recreation.columbia.edu
  • Select "Sign In" in the top right
  • Select "CLICK HERE to login with Columbia UNI" and login with your UNI credentials
    • If you enter your information in the "Guest Login" section, it will not work
  • Go to "Buy Memberships & Fitness Passes"
  • Select the desired membership and continue to checkout
  • Upon check out, the Membership Office will update your account for facility and campus access (if applicable),
    • This may take up to three business days

Employee

All Columbia University, Barnard College, and Teacher's College benefits-eligible employees are eligible to enroll through a payroll deduction or to purchase a membership to access Dodge Fitness Center.

For ongoing and continuous access to Dodge Fitness Center.

Only eligible employees may sign up, and may not be used for household accounts.

The membership is effective on the 1st of the month following the date you elect.

All current employees automatically have an account in our membership system.

  • Click sign-in on the upper right-hand side
  • Click the banner "Click Here to Login with your Columbia UNI"
  • Follow the prompts to sign in
  • Click "Buy Membership and Fitness Passes" to view available memberships and complete your purchase

It may take up to three business days for the membership office activate your ID card and request access to the campus gates via Campus Security.

Once your membership purchase is complete you may visit Dodge Fitness Center immediately. Please present your emailed receipt to the Front Desk until your CUID is activated. It may take up to three business days for the Membership Office to activate your ID card.

  • Proof of affiliation (only required if you are not using an associated email address)

A member account will be created for you using your email as a username. You should receive an email with instructions on how to recover your new member account within three business days. Please be sure to check your spam folders for an email from [email protected]

Then you can purchase your membership and ID card online at recreation.columbia.edu. 

You will be notified when your ID card is ready for pick up. Members can pick up their ID cards during the Membership Office hours.

Returning members do not have to purchase a new ID card if they already have one. If you are unsure of your login email, please contact [email protected].

Alumni

Alumni of Columbia University, Barnard College, and Affiliated Schools (Manhattan School of Music, Bank Street College, Jewish Theological Seminary, Union Theological Seminary).

Membership includes Daily Locker and Towel Service

Please submit the membership application form.

You will be asked for the following information:

  • name: last, first
  • address
  • date of birth
  • phone number
  • email
  • your photograph, if you need a new ID card ($10)
  • your ID card number if you have it
  • If you are a new alumni or a first time member, we will need to verify your year of graduation
    • Copy of photo of diploma, transcript, SSOL printout, or alumni card are acceptable forms of proof

A member account will be created for you using your email as a username. You should receive an email with instructions on how to recover your new member account within three business days. Please be sure to check your spam folders for an email from [email protected]

Then you can purchase your membership and ID card online at recreation.columbia.edu. Please follow the instructions here on how to sign in.

Retiree

Family and Household


 

All current Dodge Fitness Center members can add household and family members to their account. Available to Spouses, Partners and Children ages 6 - 26. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied at all times while in the building.

The primary member (eg. student, employee, affiliate, al) must be a DFC member in order for the family member to join.  

 

NEW HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS:

  • Please submit the membership application form
    • You will be asked for the following information:
      • name: last, first
      • address
      • date of birth
      • phone number
      • email
      • your photograph, if you need a new ID card (will be $10 for us to print an ID card)
        • If you have a previous ID card, we will need your ID card number
      • proof of common residency for partner/spouse membership
        • Can be a lease, mail, etc.
  • Dodge Fitness Center (DFC) will notify you when your account has been created (traditionally up to three business days)
  • Upon reception of the account creation email, first-time household members should complete their purchase in person to sign their membership waiver.
    • After this, renewals may be done online.
  • Once you purchase the membership, access to the facility will become available.  However, access to CAMPUS GATES may take up to three business days to be granted.  
  • Dodge Fitness Center requests access for our new members at the gates with Campus Security (typically once per day), and depending on the time of year, there may be delays with access approval.

    • Note that DFC membership granting access will allow access without QR code, once approved.

 

RETURNING HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS

  • Visit our Recreation Portal
  • Click sign-in on the upper right-hand side
  • Enter your email address in the username or email field
  • Follow prompts to sign in
  • Click "Buy Membership and Fitness Passes" to view memberships and complete your purchase
  • Once you purchase the membership, access to the facility will become available.  However, access to CAMPUS GATES may take up to three business days to be granted.

Visiting Scholars

Please email Matt Collum ([email protected]) to inquire about membership options that fit the duration of your stay.  Visiting scholar membership will also require confirmation from a supervisor/hiring manager with the date(s) of employment).  

More information can be provided upon email, but please include the following information:

  • Name: Last, First
  • Date of Birth
  • Phone Number
  • Email Address
  • UNI (If you were provided one)
  • Expected duration of stay (start - end date)
  • Headshot photograph, if you need a new ID card ($10 for us to print a new ID card)
  • ID card number (if you already have a card)

Guest Passes

Current Dodge Fitness Center members are eligible to bring up to two guests per day.

Guest passes can only be purchased in person. The member must be present with the guest during their entire visit. Both the member and the guest need to provide a photo ID. 

Guest passes expire at closing of the day of purchase.
